400 km, on a bike, within 24 hours.

For all you long distance cycling freaks, Coco Fahrradladen is bringing you the second Maurice Brocco 400!

The tradition to hold a 24 hours alleycat race started in the Netherlands about 15 years ago. A handful of bike couriers, who had organized alleycats before, came up with the idea of an alleycat that visited multiple cities. Since then, the race has been annually organized by a different crew of messengers. The route has been taking riders through cities in the Netherlands, Belgium and since last year for the first time completely trough Germany!

The 26th of June is the day Maurice Brocco died. He was a road racer from the beginning of the 20th century and posthumously lending his name to Leipzig based bike shop Coco. In his honor, we will be leaving Leipzig on June 24th ready to take on a tour just like road racers back in the days used to: cycling many miles without the streets being fenced off.

We will make for different checkpoints within 24 hours. The race starts in Leipzig and via these checkpoints you will plan your own way back to Leipzig.

Every checkpoint will provide a place to rest and some food to fuel your body and mind. Motorized transport to the next checkpoint will be available if needed along the road.

We’re looking forward to seeing you ride!
